What's going on blog world? I've been slipping a little bit on the writing side but I'm feeling really motivated so you all might be hit up with a couple posts in the following days. I'm not sure, just stay tuned. But back to the subject at hand, I was recently listening to this group Little Brother's song "Watch Me" and I've heard the song plenty of times but one of the lines truly stuck with me this time. It goes, "No Need To Act A Fool In Public, Because When You Ego Trip, You Just Lose Your Luggage." I feel that's a very eloquent way of telling us to stay grounded because you never know what happens when you step outside of your lane. By lane, I don't mean comfort zone because I recommend that so that you can grow and experience new things, but instead lane refers more to an issue of respect.
My brother is attempting to go into PR and has affected me more (positively) than I believe he knows. He simply preaches keeping an upstanding image because you simply never know who is watching you and where that person will appear in your life. I've always held similar beliefs and have applied them to all aspects of life. Don't think just because you don't know that someone is watching you, that you can just behave however. For one, you don't know how foolish you may be making yourself seem to possible employers, networking opportunities, classmates, business connects, or just other human beings period. Also, you don't want to become used to a negative image because our actions are influenced by our habits.

I'm not saying we all have to live our lives as mistake free Christians (or whatever faith/denomination you claim. I don't object necessarily to any as long as you know there is a Being superior to you and that that Being has you doing right in your life. Though I do recommend my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ..but I digress.) I'm more saying simply stay aware of your actions because it is necessary to take each moment and use it to its utmost potential. If you have not always been the most positive individual, do not let that hinder you from advancing because none of us are always perfect and each day/moment provides with a moment to improve. I hope that this has been helpful as always...
