Wats goodie blog world? The calendar has turned to August, so it's already time for us college students to get ready to get back into the grind and hustle of classes...Some of us have been waiting for it and some are still dreading each flip of the calendar day...Regardless, it will be here before we all know it, so I just want to offer some quick advice towards making this your best year, thus far...
1. Believe: You must believe from the get go that you can get straight A's this semester. I mean, what's the point of playing the game, if you don't think you are going to win right? Shooting for the stars never hurt anyone; not shooting at all can cause the greatest pain, worry, and concern though because you always have to think "what if". You are in control of your own destiny, so why not go for the best. I don't care if you are taking multibiologicialchemicalsciences on the 400 level, until you see a different grade on your transcript, believe that an A is in line for you. If you don't believe in yourself, why should anyone else?
2. Try: To often, we quit things before even giving them a chance, thus limiting ourselves from ever reaching our greatest potential. Now there are somethings in this world that are truly destined for some individuals and other things for others, but how can you know what is meant for you, if you don't ever take a chance? Step outside of your comfort box at least once and I guarantee you will grow as a person from it. Growing older is mandatory, growing up is option, so please make sure you take advantage of that option during this key period in your life.
3. Desire: More important than believing we want something and trying to achieve that is the desire to be successful. Often, we enter into situations lifeless and effortless and wonder why we don't reap the fruits we believe should come to us. With each task that is placed in front of us, there should be a certain amount of desire behind our efforts that we can use to press on through tough situations. If we have that certain level of desire, it helps keep a certain level of self motivation within us to drive towards the finish line.
4. Understand: With each situation we face, whether we are successful or we fail miserably, there must be a lesson learned from it. Understanding how and why something happen is key towards progressing in this world as human beings. Not only does knowing our past mistakes help us avoid making them again, but we must also understand all that went into the mistake and recognize the effects of the mistake to use that as positive enforcement towards avoiding the mistake entirely, if and when that situation presents itself again in our lives. Keep a level head in all academic and social situations that you face this year, and you will be a more successful person for it, whether the successful is tangible or not.
I know the world likes to beat you down a lot, but please know that if no one else believes in you, PromoDave does. I want to see you successful just as much as I want to see myself successful. The more success that is in this world, the more positive energy that flows, and the more we can all have something positive to unify ourselves. Be blessed in all your endeavors this year and conquer any and all mountains that you may face.
God Bless....1 Love...PromoDave Signing Out...
