Wats goodie blog world? Decided to hop back on the horse and see what positive thoughts I could put out for the world...I haven't been having the best of times lately and this is truly the best time to write because not only can I help you all see the light at the end of the tunnel of your problems, but I can find my own light as well...Having the current problems that I am helped me in figuring out the title of this blog and the focus of it as well. The word goals and the subsequent acronym I've come up with for it (Getting Over All Life's Situations) have served as a proper flashlight for me lately. It's not always about achieving each and every goal that we set but it's about challenging ourselves every day and creating opportunities for self growth...
The problem I'm seeing in myself and those around me is that we allow simple tasks to take on too much of a powerful role in our life. Let me toss out a couple of examples and some resolutions to those...
Failing a test has lead to too much hair pulling out - When looked at in the proper context, this is just another situation. Normally there is more than one test in a class per semester so if you properly prepare yourself for the next one, you should do better. If it's your final for that class, you still have to recognize that the result is a reflection of your preparation for the exam not a reflection of your entire person. You are not a failure, you just had a slip up. Set a GOAL of mastering that class or another class or another difficult task and I guarantee you'll get over that life situation.
Relationship issues - While this is such a wide ranging topic, I'm going to try to condense it as much as possible. At the end of the day, we all came into this world alone, so if we aren't making ourselves happy, it is completely ridiculous to expect someone us to make us happy. Along that same line, we can't enter into any relationships or friendships with the expectation of someone making us happy; we need to expect them to make us HAPPIER. If you enter with hurt on your heart, it has to be a two way recovery street. Help the world help you by helping yourself. Set a GOAL to strengthen your relationship with God to strengthen your own self respect and self love to strengthen your ability to love others and you'll be able to get over that life/love situation.
Money issues - The idea that money makes the world go round has been instilled in all of us from a very young age from the capitalist society/world we live in has shifted us from our creation intention. We were placed on this Earth to make it a better place for others around us and if money can help us do that then so be it, but it is not only methodology we have at our disposal. Making plenty of money does not guarantee happiness, but helping plenty of others with that money can lead to a substantial amount of happiness. Being broke doesn't equal being sad either because being broke or not as rich as you would like teaches you how to hustle, survive, and improvise as long as you are willing to learn. Learn to not be defined by the dollar amount but to let the dollar amount be apart of your definition. Set a GOAL to make your stamp on this world with your efforts and those efforts should lead o some either mental or financial stability and help you get over all life's situations.
Once again, I'm hoping that you realize it always isn't about reaching the finish line because we never knew when our time will be called, but setting GOALS along the way make this trip called life worth living. Hope these words help you Get Over All Life's Situations...
