Social Conscious and Development

What's good blog world? I've been sort of perplexed lately by what has been going out with the world in terms of the news. I dedicated a facebook status to this...." News got me tweakin...Chris Brown gets parole for beating a woman...police officer gets probation for beating a woman....but Mike Vick gets real jail time for dog fighting...where are our priorities??"

I'm not saying that Mike Vick should have necessarily gotten an easier sentencing but the legal system has to work towards every person in the same light. The sentencing for Chris Brown and the local Chicago police officer Anthony Abbate should have been much harsher to send a message. As men, we lose our tempers but as the stronger sex and the leaders of this world, we must control that anger and channel it in another way. There is no telling what influence this will have on young boys and girls throughout the world...

Young women must be taught that they deserve the world and must be treated as so. A man should never put his hands on a woman (a woman should also never provoke such an incident). Respect yourselves as queens and take nothing less. Don't settle for the first man that calls you beautiful but rather the one that shows he appreciates it on all levels.

Young men need to learn that they are put on this Earth to lead it and change it for the better. Be positive influences and spend your time towards your own enhancement and find a goddess that appreciates all that you do for her. I assure you that there is one waiting for you. Don't simply settle for the first one that lays down but rather the first one that will support you unconditionally.

Take heed to these warnings and love yourself first so that you can love another with all your heart.

First Name Get Some, Last Name Business

What's good blog world? I got this blog subject from a reply to one of my Facebook statuses and I'm here for the people so I have to give the people what they want. As the title suggests, this status is all about business. With so much technology at our hands, we tend to find ourselves deeply enveloped in the ongoings on those around us. And with the people close in our life, it is quite helpful to use Facebook, Myspace for the old heads, Twitter for the new age, and any other social networking sites or assisting materials to stay in contact with our friends, associates, coworkers and family. That's fine and all but there is great misuse on both ends of the spectrum. Some live their lives as an open book to all and then wonder why everyone knows each step of their life and has a comment about it. On the other hand, there are those who feast off of learning about the downfalls of others while never addressing the problems within their own life.

A strong suggestion is to limit those who see your profiles on the internet to those you know and those that can aid in your future such as employers or business connections. Used correctly, the internet can be a wonderful tool for enhancing your life but if it is simply used as your open diary, you have to take the conflicts that may arise as well. Don't tell everyone where you are going to be all the time because you don't know who is reading and may be plotting on your demise. Don't put all of your misfortunes on your profile/status and then not expect some to chastise you, tease you, spread your dirty laundry or to always have a comment. I know that some do use these networks as a means of expressing their true feelings and it is their profile so they should be allowed to do that so others need to quit worrying so much about what goes on in their lives.

Use these networking sites to expand your horizons rather than to simply entertain you. Quit adding people just to be nosy. If you can say to yourself that your adding of this person has any malicious means behind it, then you should completely abandon that. I guarantee if we all take an honest look at what is going on in our own lives, we cannot make a comment or judgment on another because that is time that in could be spent used towards our own enhancement. Cliche as it sounds, it is still useful; when you point a finger at someone else, there are 3 more and a big fat thumb pointing back at you. Use each moment to improve yourself and this world rather then attempting to put others down and I guarantee we will all benefit.

Past Power

What's going on blog world? From looking at the news lately, sporting world and all and it's easy to see how people can change once they reach their desired level of greatness. You can also sense the change as a person is developing towards that level. I'm not saying a person shouldn't change because progress requires positive change but the change I'm speaking of has been quite negative.

Don't forget all of the hard work that it took to achieve that level of greatness. Build a strong work ethic and stick with it. Just because you are doing a little bit better financially, socially, mentally or spiritually does not mean that your battle is done. Take each moment and put your same strong stamp on it. It takes nothing but one mistake to fall down a slippery slope and there is no telling what will need to be done.

With the audience I'm trying to reach this can be greatly applied to school. Don't forget what hard work you had to put in to get into college or reach the plateau you have in high school because the road does nothing but get harder from here. If you have fallen off of the horse a little bit, you simply you need to strap back up and try it again. Like I said in a previous post, you are not finished until the clock is finished. I guarantee you that if you put your best foot forward into whatever you decide to do, it will give you greater satisfaction than any piece of paper or dollar amount can. Strive for those dollars and those degrees but at the end of the day, your ultimate glory should come from making yourself a better person and being a humble servant of this world. Make the world better, you make yourself better.

Unconditional Love and Faith

What's good blog world? Sitting here reflecting on past loves of my own, thinking about relationships of others, and reading Facebook statuses has me becoming even more aware of a problem troubling our world. Too many of us live with conditions connected to our love due to past problems, future concerns and present restraints. Too often I have seen people miss out on opportunities in love and life due to being afraid of being hurt, rejected or failure. I've personally been restrained by all three and regret such but I'm starting to make more conscious decisions towards making decisions that benefit my life no matter the risk...

Love can exalt a person to new untouched heights in life and also push them to the depths of depression. However, 1 person or 1000 cannot allow the bunch to be spoiled in your opinion. Give each person a chance to prove you wrong prior to writing them off. Your relationship with that person is unique and can't be influenced by either person's past but only on the interractions between the two. I'm not saying just let anyone into your life but you don't want to live your life regretting rejecting everyone in your life. The same can be said about opportunities in life.

They say that experience is the best teacher and I believe that wholheartedly. Don't allow other people's failures to restrict what you believe you are able to acheive. You are not whatever negative aspects those around you represent. Each day you have the opportunity to prove that you are capable of changing the world, it is just up to you to grasp it. Don't allow any failure to halt your progress. Everything you fail at allows you to become a more experienced, brighter, and more succesful individual. Never count yourself out until the clock has completely run out. As long as you have a chance to, fight for what you what in this world. Build from failure and obstacles. You'll appreciate the finish that much more.
