Godly Living...

What's going on blog world? Easter recently passed and though I didn't make it to service at my church because I had important family business to attend to, I've really started to see a change in myself as far as my connection to Christ has been and I'm proud of myself. I mean, thanks to my wonderful parents, I've always been connected to Christ but now that I'm starting to really enter into the early steps of adulthood, it feels good to know that I'm starting to make my own connection to Him...

I see a lot of people, that in my opinion, struggle with their connection because they try to overcompensate their actions with praising God very publicly as a means of taking attention away from what they do in the dark. I know that we all, including myself, do things that we rather not have brought to light but I believe that your relationship with God should be used to change those actions rather than cover them up. If you're praising Him to the fullest while still commiting the same wrong acts, I believe your just figuratively shooting yourself in the foot. Commit to changing through Christ and I guarantee it'll be a much easier process than just doing it on your own.

Lately, a lot of small things have been just getting to me whether I show it or not. However as my favorite gospel song proclaims, my good days still outweigh my bad days so I really can't complain. A lot of my friends and even those I don't know but through the bevy of information Facebook gives you, I've been able to find out that they suffer through feeling that each problem they face will be the end of them. I've faced similar issues but I've come to learn that, hey I've made it this far with Him so why question how He works now. As human beings, we'll never be able to truly understand the will of God, but have to simply trust it. Those against Him focus on the negative aspects of life and question how could such a loving God do this?...

There are two quick responses that I've formulated for that. 1) There are so many beautiful things to focus on in life if you truly take the time to look. 2) God wants us to be the strongest creatures we can be so he puts us in difficult situations that he knows we can handle. He'll never put more on you then you can handle and when it does become too much, put it on Him and allow God to fix it because He's the strongest of them all...

I never try to force people to change their thoughts or beliefs because I don't know what each person has been through. Although, I don't go to church as often as I should, I'm hoping that my efforts in my blogs and just through my daily interractions show how serious I am about my faith to God and my commitment to making this world a better place. I just hope that the way I live my life positively changes at least one person in some way. Forcible change never works. Positive influence always does...
