Wats goodie blog world? The calendar has changed to August which marks a great change...for the college students, a return to school is right around the corner and for the non-college students, we've entered into the last trimester of the year, with a new arena of challenges, opportunities, successes and failures. With every situation that is presented in front of us, keeping our minds focused on all options is just as important as the end result of the situation…
With many situations, the order of importance for things easily get jumbled as we seek to make it through….whether it is forgetting how our own self worth, confusing the value of outside sources, or dedicating too much time to achievement, As you prepare to enter into school again, or seek out a new job, or spouse, or enter another element of life such as parenting, it’s easy to let our situation define us but you can lose your whole place in this world if you do such. Stepping back from situations and making sure this is what you want and that it’s worthy of your efforts is key towards obtaining success. Though we seek out advice from others, it is the realization that we need assistance that is the most vital step. No one can help you better than yourself which is easily forgotten in our interactions with people. Your best interests will always be in your hand and should only be enhanced by outside influences and never halted…
Oftentimes we become too heavily dependent on pleasing the world that we become lost in it. This is where maintaining your self value reappears. Take every piece of advice or interaction with another with a grain of salt and know that it can never truly break you nor can it make you. It’s good to look at those that have gone through the situations you have before for a guide to success, but that can not be your only map towards the finish line. Understanding that each trial, tribulation, personal hell, and ultimate triumph is unique to each individual eliminates envy and creates enormous chances for growth. Make sure that the influences in your life are in proper order as well…friends that constantly critique and never support should only be used as inspiration for how not live and kept at an arm’s distance. The world is full of such individuals so keep your eyes open for them, keep your information to yourself and understand that not all will ever be out for your good. Depend on those that have proven their worth and just deal with the rest…
That same level of dependency can be applied to our sense of achievement. Getting too high with a victory is just as hindering as remaining low following a lost. As you navigate through the situations of life, new or old, maintaining a level head will always benefit you. That balance is grounded in making sure that you stay true to yourself because living a lie is the same as killing yourself. Don’t live beyond your means or create an image for yourself that you cannot live up to. Humility and hard work will carry your much further in life than talent and half truths. As I’ve heard so much, it’s much harder to remember a lie than it is to live the truth, so understand where you are in life, accept it, and enhancing your position in life will be that much easier….

Mowing Your Lawn
"Maintaining a complicated life is a great way to avoid changing it."
Wats goodie? Decided to make my return to blogging by touching on a well known phrase "the grass is greener on the other side." While this does come true a lot, there is another world that I believe we can all benefit from at least knowing of its existence, whether we act upon it or not...Too often wanting to know what we don't have takes away from what we do have and ruins everything at the same time...Make sure that your own lawn is mowed and maintained prior to attempting to create a new venture for yourself...
I'm not saying close any doors to yourself ever because you'll never know what an opportunity can do for you until you reach for it. The world could be yours, you just might not know it until you take that first step and reach out of your normal state and attempt to do extraordinary. The saying goes that if you keep doing what you used to do, you'll continue to get the same results...and this is true indeed. Moving on from this step includes more than reaching for a new goal but also making sure that your background basis is solid indeed. This is where making sure that your lawn remains mowed comes in tact...While you're searching for new ventures in this world, making sure that your lawn is clean cut makes the search that much easier...
Our lawns include our faith, beliefs, work ethic, relationships with family and friends, desires, wants, needs and goals. If you don't have your world in order, what can you really gain from entering into a new world? This is evident in many aspects of life...why enter into a relationship without being ready for one? Why accept a new position at your job, when you didn't give your all at your previous position? Why win a million dollars when you don't know how to manage a thousand? If you can't make baby steps, why try to run a marathon?...By mastering these initial steps, the greater challenges become much easier...
Don't get blinded by the grand awards that may wait on "the other side" and not realize that you aren't potentially FULLY ready to engage in such activities. With whatever you do in this world, make sure that you are properly prepared or be aware of potential pitfalls. Everything in this world comes with a risk, just make sure that you're properly ready to reap the rewards or rebuild yourself following...
