"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16"
With each of my latest blogs, I've been attempting to focus a lot on time management and how our focus on certain elements can really take away from our success. Attending church today confirmed my beliefs as the pastor focused on the difference between being busy and being productive and that is the biggest issue when it comes to working with time. With everything you do in this world, be purposeful in your endeavors or you will just be being wasteful with your own time and life...
At this point in a lot of our lives, this is perhaps the busiest we have ever been. With so many different things that can grab our attention (work, school, relationships, personal interests, world issues), making sure that we are in control of our minds in our efforts and praying towards controlling what we can and letting go of what we can't. Often we get stuck with placing our hands into so many different efforts, that we never truly make our mark in one true area. This is where the difference between being busy and being productive is key...you can be doing 100 things at once and really just not be doing anything at all. Understanding the difference will make a world of difference for you...
Don't waste your time with efforts that don't create further opportunities for you...there are things that will be only seasonal for you, but make sure that you take something from each and every situation to create an improved next arena in your life. As Jay-Z put it..."I will not lose because even in defeat, there's a valuable lesson learned which evens it up for me." Being a breathing, capable individual in this world means that you are truly never defeated...Know that no challenge will ever be too great for you to overcome and that there will always be another door that opens as long as you continue to remain a diligent, dedicated soldier...
